How to write a good funding application

    22 March, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

    Free

Unfortunately due to Covid-19, we have had to postpone our planned 15 March session. The event will now run on Tuesday 22nd March 2022 (1:00 – 2:30pm). We hope that you can make the date and look forward to seeing you.

If you are relatively new to applying for funding, or want to improve your skills, this session is for you.

You will hear tips on applying for funding based on the perspective of experienced MVA staff and guest speakers, talking on the following topics:

    • Net Zero: how relevant is it to you? Increasingly the Scottish Government and other funders are mandating questions that ask how the third sector is contributing toward the drive for net zero. We’ll go over some common questions that come up with MVA staff with speaker Jill Bunyan (MVA)
    • The Single Midlothian Plan and the key demographics of the area, with a guest speaker from Midlothian Council: Rebekah Sullivan, Community Planning Development Officer
    • How to build a case for your organisation, and where are the best places to look for the funding you need? Exploring the trusts and funds that suit you with Natalie Thomson (MVA).

This session is appropriate for those living and working in Midlothian.
