Located in the heart of Dalkeith, at 8 White Hart Street, EH22 1AE, The Salon is a vibrant Volunteering Hub managed by Midlothian Third Sector Interface.
Our Vision:
At The Salon, our vision is clear: we aspire to be more than just a physical space; we aim to be a warm and inviting community hub. Our mission is to provide a space where people of all backgrounds and ages can come together to learn, connect, and grow.
Salon Events & Activities:
When? Every Tuesday & Thursday, 10am – 11.30am.
What? Join us for engaging and relaxed conversations that help improve your English-speaking skills. Our friendly Volunteer Facilitators are here to support you every step of the way.
When? Every Tuesday, 10am – 1pm.
Every Thursday, 12.30am – 3pm.
What? Interested in volunteering but not sure where to start? Our Volunteer Drop-In sessions are the perfect place to explore opportunities, ask questions, and discover how you can make a difference in the community.
When? Every Wednesday, 2pm – 3.30pm.
What? In this digital age, we understand the importance of staying connected and tech-savvy. Our Digital Support Group provides a supportive environment where you can enhance your digital skills and stay up-to-date with the latest technology.
When? Every Wednesday, 2pm – 3.30pm.
What? Aimed at over 50’s, this drop-in session provides 1-1 support for job seekers, including help accessing your online journal for Universal Credit.
When? Monday – AM & PM, Wednesday AM, Thursday PM, Friday AM & PM.
